Interesting sounding chap, and BTW Gustav 3rd was assassinated at the opera, which is worth keeping in mind!
So one has to wonder which opera was he listening to as his life ebbed away?

Seems it was actually a masked ball- but the event formed the basis of Verdi's "Ballo in Maschera" so he didn't die in vain!
